Why INSPIRE ?

Bringing together managers of irrigation and drainage (I&D) systems to share and enhance knowledge on service delivery.

INSPIRE recognizes the important role that managers of I&D systems play and the need to support and strengthen their capacities through knowledge sharing and community building. INSPIRE is filling this gap to help address the challenges of their day-to-day realities, to obtain advice on practical solutions, and to positively impact irrigation operations.

About this Community

The International Network of Service Providers for Irrigation Excellence (INSPIRE) is a platform for knowledge exchange on service delivery among managers of irrigation and drainage systems (I&D).

INSPIRE serves as a technical working body with a worldwide reach, supported by multiple development organizations, and incubated by the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID). INSPIRE meetings will present and discuss hands-on experiences, innovations, and best practices in improving the quality of I&D services.
